The general objective of this study was to assess Information Communication Technology (ICT) procurement processes within the public sector; a case of DVLA, SCC Branch. The study was guided by the following specific objectives.

  1. To assess the procurement process in place at DVLA.
  2. To identify the procurement technology tools employed by DVLA.
  3. To examine the effect of technology on the procurement performance of DVLA.
  4. To establish the challenges associated with e-procurement at DVLA.

The study was purely quantitative in nature. The population of the study were all employees of Drivers and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA, Weija Office) Their total number was fifty -five (55). According to the Krejcie and Morgan (1970) sampling size determination table, a population of 55 must have a sample of 48. Hence the sample size (n) is 48. Convenience sampling was adopted for this study. Questionnaires were chosen as the data collection instrument. Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS.v.21.0) was used to analyze the data gathered.
