The main objective of the study was to assess the effect of employee conflicts on productivity using GCB Bank (Dansoman, Circle and Osu branches) as case study. The specific objectives of the study included;

  1. Determining the factors that generate conflict among employees at the bank.
  2. Identify conflict management practices (if any) adopted by the bank.
  3. Identifying the challenges encountered in managing conflict at the bank.
  4. Identifying the effect of employee conflict on productivity.

 The study adopted a descriptive survey research approach as it enables the identification and classification of the elements or characteristics of the subject. The target population of this study comprised all employees of GCB Bank (Dansoman, Circle and Osu branches). Their total population was 45 persons. A census technique was employed to select the 45 employees. A questionnaire was chosen as the data collection instrument. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS.v.21.0) was used to analyze the data collected.
