The main objective of the study was to determine the effect of leadership style on organizational performance using Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) as case study. The study adopted the descriptive survey approach of collecting data, because the study was based on the use of questionnaire to elicit information based on people’s opinion to generate data for the analysis of the research topic. The population of the study consisted of all employees of Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Forty (40) employees of CSIR were sampled out for the study. The researcher used the purposive sampling technique to sample the 40 respondents for the study. Questionnaires were used as the tool for data collection. Data obtained from the study was quantitatively analyzed using frequencies and percentages. The Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) was used for data coding, entry and analysis.
