The main objective of this study was to examine the effect of technology on supply chain performance in a pharmaceutical company using Kinapharma as a case study. The study was guided by the following specific objectives:

  1. To identify the technology tools employed by Kinapharma.
  2. To analyse the effect of technology on the supply chain performance of Kinapharma.
  3. To establish the challenges associated with the deployment of the technology tools at Kinapharma.

The study was purely quantitative in nature. The total number of employees (management) at Kinapharma was 65. Fifty-six (56) persons were however selected as the sample. Hence the sample size (n) was 56. A simple random sampling technique was employed to select the 56 employees out of the population.  Questionnaires were chosen as the data collection instrument. Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS.v.16.0) was used to analyse the data gathered. The first objective sought to identify the technology tools employed by Kinapharma.
