The main objective of the study was to examine the impact of effective planning and control on procurement activities using COCOBOD as case study. The other objectives of the study were to;

  1. Assess current practices of procurement planning and control at COCOBOD.
  2. Establish the benefits of procurement planning and control at COCOBOD.
  3. Identify challenges faced in procurement planning and control at COCOBOD.

The study adopted a descriptive study approach. The target population of this study comprised all the employees of COCOBOD. Fifty (50) employees were sampled out for the study. A simple random sampling technique was employed to select the 50 employees out of all the employees. Questionnaires were used as the data collection instrument. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) was used in the analysis of data.
