The general objective of this study was to examine the impact of employee motivation on organizational performance using State Transportation Company (STC) as a case study. The specific objectives of this study were:

  1. To identify the meaning of job motivation from employees’ perspective.
  2. To examine the various packages that are available to motivate staff.
  3. To examine the impact of motivational packages on employees of STC.

The study adopted the descriptive research design and was purely quantitative in nature. The population of the study was employees of State Transportation Company (STC). Fifty (50) employees were selected as the sample. A simple random sampling technique was used to select the 50 employees. Questionnaires were used as the data collection instrument. The data collected from the respondents was coded and analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (version.21).
