The Impact of Human Resource Planning in the Performance of Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs)
The main purpose of the study was to examine the impact of human resource planning in the performance of Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) using Action Aid (Ghana) as a case study. The specific objectives of the study were:
- To find out the HRP policies and practices at Action Aid (Ghana) and whether they are effective.
- To establish the relationship between HRP and organizational performance.
- To find the challenges faced with HRP practices and policies at Action Aid (Ghana).
The study was purely descriptive in nature. The target population for this study comprised all employees of Action Aid (Ghana). Their total population stood at 33 persons. Since the population of the study is deemed small by the researcher, all 33 persons were used as the study sample. Hence the sample for the study will be thirty-three (33). Looking at the small number of the population, all thirty-three (33) employees were used as the sample. A census technique was employed to select the 33 employees. Questionnaires were used as the data collection instrument. Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS.v.21) was used in the processing of primary data gathered.
