The aim of this study is to examine the impact of Management Information Systems on organizational performance; using UMB as case study. Specifically, the study will;

  1. Examine whether MIS policies, practices and processes are being utilized at the bank.
  2. Evaluate whether MIS application provides users with timely, accurate, consistent, complete and relevant information.
  3. Determine whether MIS application and enhancement systems exist to adequately support corporate goals at the bank.

The study adopted the descriptive research design.  The population of the study comprised all employees of Abeka Lapaz, Abossey Okai and Sakaman branches of UMB bank. They are 40 in number. Thirty-five (35) were however sampled for this study. A simple random sampling technique was employed to select the 35 employees out of all the employees. Questionnaires were used as the data collection instrument. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences was used for this analysis. The data was presented in tabular, graphical and narrative forms.
